Understanding & Connecting with Newcomer Students

Public schools in the state of Georgia and across the nation have experienced an increase of newcomer students enrolling at every level. Their native language and cultural background are important elements of their identity. Understanding the culture where they come from and some of the challenges they face as they prepare to enter American schools is one way to prepare to serve this student population. Join this FREE WEBINAR led by OLA Language School's director William Carvajal who will discuss key elements of the Hispanic Culture and help you prepare to better serve newcomers in your classroom.
